Sonal joined Bruns Brennan Berry Pikulin & Jacobs, PC in 2022 after working as a trademark law clerk at IBM.
Sonal earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2021, where she concentrated in Information Law & Intellectual Property. During her time at Cardozo, Sonal was a Notes Editor for Cardozo's International & Comparative Law Review, and her note, "India's Aadhaar Card -- A Violation of Indian Citizens' Right to Privacy", was published in the journal. Additionally, Sonal was a Trademark Law Research Assistant to Professor Wu, interned at Dentons, Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz PC, Disney Theatrical Group and Cardozo's Indie Film Clinic while she was a law student.
Prior to law school, Sonal worked in the theatre industry, primarily focusing on general management and producing. In 2017, Sonal earned her B.A. in Individualized Study, with a concentration in Producing & Theatrical Management for the South and East Asian Region, from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
Sonal is a member of the Lucille Lortel Theater Foundation’s Junior Board, New York City Bar Association’s Entertainment Law Committee, and is an alumni mentor to Cardozo law students.
Sonal is admitted to practice law in New York.
