Ayana McPherson joined Bruns Brennan Berry Pikulin & Jacobs as an intern in 2020, and as an associate in 2021 after graduating from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
Prior to law school, Ms. McPherson earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and went on to work at Clear Talent Group (NY), a full-service bi-coastal talent agency.
While at Cardozo, Ms. McPherson was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society where she served as the Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) Competition Editor, the Co- President of the Minority Law Student Alliance, the recipient of the 2020 BALLSA Scholarship Award and a student in the Filmmaker’s Legal Clinic, where she received her first legal credit for her work on Netflix’s “The Last Blockbuster.” Ms. McPherson interned at Franklin Entertainment at Twentieth Century Fox (Los Angeles), Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and SAG-AFTRA.
She is a current member of the Black, Entertainment and Sports Law Association (BESLA) and admitted to practice in New York.
